All the signs included in the project are not currently
used for commercial or advertising purposes.
Instead, they are like empty frames along the street,
transformed into public art spaces.
 
The project is adding another layer to spaces that have
already had many functions, as the businesses and
and the communties they serve have changed over the
years - or disappeared. Now that they are empty and
serving no commercial function, it seems appropriate
that artists, working with the community, decide how
this small slice of abandoned public space can best be
activated.
